Copper

Copper metal is a good conductor of heat and electricity. Spiritually, it also grounds and transfers vibration frequencies from the physical realm to the spiritual one, and vice versa. As a result, you can channel and communicate with higher dimensional beings, cleanse your aura, mind, and find out information from the spiritual world. Copper metal is the giver of positivity and goodness, as well as the bringer of good luck in various endeavors. It attracts money, prosperity, and all-round abundance.

Buddha Symbol

Although this symbol may be religiously associated, its potency and applicative virtues are transferred on a boundless culture with no specific religion or nation. The Buddha's enlightenment is omnipresent, giving us the strength to fulfill our dreams and reach our full potential.

"Lucky" is the word often connected to this calming symbol, as it infuses you with exceptional fortune and clear mind, letting you assess possibilities, chances, and the future from a blank canvas. Mindfulness becomes a natural way of thinking.

    What Are Mala Beads?

Mala beads have been around for thousands of years, created in India over 3,000 years ago. They are rooted in Hinduism and Buddhism and are meant to help you focus your mind during meditation.

Buddhist prayer beads or malas are a traditional tool used to count the number of times a mantra is recited, breaths while meditating, counting prostrations, or the repetitions of a buddha's name. They are similar to other forms of prayer beads used in various world religions and therefore the term "Buddhist rosary" also appears.

Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. This sādhanā (practice) is known in Sanskrit as japa. Malas are typically made with 18, 27, 54 or 108 beads.

In Tibetan Buddhism, malas of 108 beads are used. Some practitioners use malas of 21 or 28 beads for doing prostrations. In Tibetan Buddhism, malas are mainly used to count mantras.

    • Stress reduction

Studies have shown that regular meditation eases anxiety and depression symptoms. Meditation and yoga can also help reduce pain, which may be a cause of psychological problems.

    • Physical health benefits

Regular meditation and yoga can also help your physical health by reducing your blood pressure, heart rate, and even cholesterol. Mindful meditation improves blood flow to your brain, which helps it work better and regulate bodily functions.

    • Less need for medications

Using mala beads in yoga and meditation can reduce your need for medications as you get older. Working on your mental and physical health as you age may prevent symptoms of future conditions.

    • Cognitive benefits

Practicing effective meditation is good for cognition. Some studies have shown that meditation improves focus and memory. It also can help delay cognitive decline and dementia as you get older.

How do I use my mala?

Malas are used to count mantras (spoken intentions). Move through the beads one at a time, using your thumb to turn each bead, as you repeat apersonal ortraditional mantra. Stop when you reach the guru bead (the larger bead dangling from the top), this means it is time to reflect. Come out ofmeditation gently, and do notworry about feeling “perfect” the first few times you practice.

Do I use my left hand or my right hand?

The “correct” hand varies from tradition to tradition. If just starting out, it is probably best to begin with whichever hand feels most natural for you. Whenmoving thebeads through your fingers, many people choose to use the thumb and the middle finger, as the pointer finger represents the “I” or the ego,and should therefore beavoided.

    Versatile Applications

Symbolizes joy, peace, protection, focus, healing, wisdom, wealth, and good health

Unisex design can be worn as a multi-layer anklet, necklace, or wrist mala bracelet for men, women, and teens

Balance auras, cure illness, and shield against stress, worry, anxiety, or depression

Hold during yoga, meditation, mantra chanting, Buddhist offerings, or display as altar decoration supplies

    Meditating With A Mala

Using a meditation mala requires no prior knowledge of traditions, prayers or rituals. All you need is a clear place to sit and about 10-15 minutes ofuninterrupted time.Start with the mala in your left hand, with index finger and thumb lightly grasping the bead next to the Guru Bead (the larger bead atthe top of the chain). Breathedeeply several times until you feel relaxed. Then, begin.

Move the beads through your fingertips, one-by-one, breathing deeply and slowly with each movement. This smooth sequence transmits informationfrom the musclesto the brain, and relaxes the central nervous system by initiating a steady, repetitive physical motion (similar to the idea of squeezinga stress ball).

With each new bead you should be repeating a chosen mantra, prayer or intention. The mantra can be anything- some practitioners use “Om,” whileothers choose“peace” or “love”- and it can be spoken, whispered or hummed. Each repetition generates positive forward momentum and strengthensmental focus. If a stray thoughtdistracts you, return to the bead where you lost concentration and start again. Meditation is not a race; there is no finishline. Meditation is a process of slow healing, ofbringing a sense of infinite peace to the heart and mind.

Keep the beads moving. When you reach the Guru Bead again, you will have completed a full cycle. Come out of meditation gently by sitting in silencefor somemoments. Take deep breaths, stand and return to your normal activities. Remember, it takes time and practice for the mind to be able toeffectively slow down andfocus. Do not be discouraged if you don’t feel “perfect” the first time you meditate.

I got mala for my trip to the hospital for a huge surgery to help keep my mind from wandering during the recovery time, these helped me greatly do this the quality of the beads is really nice the string is an elastic and gives plenty of stretch to wear as a bracelet or as a necklace, smooth and easy to move through your hands would purchase again!

    • Jerome Bridgelal

I ama a firm believer that I truly “own” nothing in the world nor do I want to. When I wear mala it reminds me of my path of cohesion with everything around me. When I encounter someone who notices and is drawn to these, I give them to that person. I then order more. They are priced right and a beautiful way to wear your peace and pass it on when another person needs them.

    • Jordan S.

I used to spend a lot of time with mantra, particularly chanting ram or Hare Krishna, and I needed a durable mala that moves easy in the hand. Some malas seem to be designed as more of a fashion accessory rather than for practical use. This one is super practical, the elastic keeps the beads tight and close, and the beads are a good size, moves through the fingers easily, and the next bead is always within reach. Durable and holds up well, hours of chanting has passed on this thing.

    • Sylvia Flewelling

My therapist wanted me to start using mala beads as a way of handling stress and anxiety. I had no idea what type to get- I wanted them to be simple in appearance and durable. So I decided to get wooden ones. They are also very pretty. My wrists are too skinny to wear these as a bracelet, but I have worn them as a necklace around my neck and they look very pretty and I received compliments (the point of mala beads is to be able to carry them easily with you which is why they are often worn as jewelry). I recommend them as an inexpensive, attractive and thoroughly usable set of mala beads.
